Day 2

Nairobi - Nakuru National Park

You’ll be picked up early in the morning from Nairobi and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, located just across the equator in the famous Rift Valley. Known globally for its flamingos, the lake is alkaline and recognized as one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Lake Nakuru also serves as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, with over 40 black rhinos and more than 60 white rhinos calling it home. However, the flamingos remain the park’s main attraction. At certain times, up to 2 million flamingos can be seen along the shoreline, creating a stunning pink ring around the lake. You’ll arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Accommodation: The Cliff

Day 2

Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll begin your journey with an early morning drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the last remaining places on Earth where wildlife thrives in relatively undisturbed numbers, much like it did in Africa’s plains and forests in times past. As the northern extension of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is home to the awe-inspiring seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and the predators that follow them. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out for an exciting afternoon game drive. Accommodation: Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp

Day 3

Masai Mara National Reserve

You’ll have a full day in the Masai Mara with a flexible itinerary and unlimited mileage. After breakfast, we'll set off for a full-day game drive, with a packed lunch provided. The reserve is famous for its black-manned lions and its diverse, abundant wildlife. It’s one of the rare places where you can spot the Big Five during a morning game drive. Many of the cheetahs here are so accustomed to humans that they seek shade under vehicles to escape the heat, and some even climb onto the roof for a better view of potential prey. For bird lovers, the Mara is a paradise with nearly 500 recorded species. Among these are 16 types of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 types of storks, 4 varieties of bustards (including the kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds. Day 4

Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park

We’ll start the day with an early morning game drive in Masai Mara as we make our way out of the reserve. After completing border formalities, we'll drive to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It's a long day of travel, but the game drives both in and out of the parks can offer some truly incredible experiences. That said, we highly recommend flying between the parks to maximize your time on safari. Alternatively, you can add an extra day to explore Lake Victoria, located roughly halfway between the two parks. Accommodation: Four Seasons Safari Lodge

Day 5 & 6

Serengeti National Park

As you reach the top of the hillside, the vast expanse of the Serengeti unfolds before you, stretching as far as the eye can see. The name "Serengeti" means "endless plains" in Kiswahili. This 6,900 square mile (18,000 square km) park is home to over 2 million large animals, including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. The abundance of prey attracts large predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, who follow the migrating herds throughout the park. Smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares also inhabit the region, alongside nearly 500 species of birds. On your way into the Serengeti, you can choose to stop at the renowned Olduvai Gorge, where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made their groundbreaking discovery of the earliest human ancestors. Afterward, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive on your way to the campsite.

Day 7

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today, you’ll wake up early for a morning safari, giving you the chance to spot animals when they're most active, all while witnessing a breathtaking sunrise over the African savannah—one of the most stunning experiences you can have. In the afternoon, you’ll transfer to Ngorongoro, often referred to as the 8th natural wonder of the world. The crater boasts the highest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It’s home to a river, several swamps, a soda lake that appears to steam from above and is filled with flamingos, a forest, and expansive plains. The majestic bull elephants here have massive tusks, thanks to the rich volcanic soil and grasses, making them among the most incredible elephants you’ll ever encounter. You’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your chosen tented camp or lodge. Accommodation: The Highlands

Day 8

Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park

We’ll begin the day early, descending into the crater floor for an unforgettable morning of wildlife viewing in one of the world’s most beautiful locations. After the game drive, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the picturesque Hippo Lake. Following lunch, there will be time for a brief game drive before we ascend the crater and head towards Lake Manyara (a 2-hour drive). Lake Manyara is renowned for its tree-climbing lions and the flamingos that line the lakeshore. The game drives take place along the lake’s edge, offering stunning views of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground, with the lake, flamingos, and expansive plains stretching out in the distance. It’s a perfect spot for photography, and you’ll also have the chance to enjoy a walking or night safari. Dinner and overnight at your chosen tented camp or lodge. Day 9

Lake Manyara National Park to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, we'll head out for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara, followed by a picnic lunch. Though only 205 square miles in size, this captivating park is known for its stunning beauty and lush acacia forests, home to towering fig and mahogany trees that shelter troops of baboons and blue monkeys. The park also boasts large populations of buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, and impalas, as well as a Hippo Lake where you can often see large groups of hippos. Renowned for its birdlife—over 400 species—Lake Manyara is one of the few places where you can spot both the ground hornbill and the crested eagle. Afterward, we’ll transfer to Amboseli (a 5-hour drive). Located south of Nairobi, Amboseli National Park is mostly made up of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grasslands, dotted with patches of acacia woodland and small rocky volcanic hills in the south. You’ll enjoy dinner and overnight at your chosen tented camp or lodge. Accommodation: Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli

Day 10

Amboseli National Park

You’ll start the day early to catch breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds begin to form over the summit, with a packed lunch provided. Despite its varied landscape, Amboseli National Park is arguably one of the best places in all of Africa to get up close to elephants. With minimal interference from poachers, the sight of elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps is sure to be one of the standout moments of your safari. Day 11

Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

You'll have a morning game drive in Amboseli. An optional visit to a Maasai village can also be planned. A visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Early in the afternoon, drive to Nairobi arriving at about 5:00 pm, and transfer to your hotel or the airport.
