Depending on the group you are assigned, you may spend one unforgettable hour with these gentle giants—or, for an additional fee, take part in an extended habituation experience lasting up to four hours. Watching gorillas interact, forage, and care for their young is deeply moving and often emotional. Trekking is done in small groups of up to eight, requires sturdy hiking shoes, and typically takes between two and four hours.
